NEW JERSEY BAIL REFORM CAMPAIGN

ADvocating for bail reform in order to reduce spousal abuse

THE ISSUE: BAIL REFORM IN NEW JERSEY
In 2017 New Jersey was preparing to vote on legislation that would make it more difficult for violent offenders to post bail and be let out of jail while awaiting trial.  The concern that propagated this legislation was centered on a perceived increase in spousal abuse by released offenders while awaiting trial.
In addition to the branding and ancillary creative material I created, a full-size brand style guide was developed as the cornerstone to ensuring the design language for the campaign would be consistently communicated across any medium.
PROJECT DETAILS:
Client: PPAG
Date: 2017
Type: print, branding, design, styleguide, brochure, logo

MY ROLE:
BRAND DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
My job was to create an easily recognizable emblem that could serve as the visual cornerstone for this issue.  Beyond this, I was charged with creating an entire environment of ancillary creative work that would support the campaign in the form of posters, signage, pins, apparel, signs, and an overall print and web design language.  In order render all of that material in a consistent way, I saw the need to develop a brand style guide to ensure the highest visual fidelity, regardless of the medium being used.
